Took their 4 week Mahjong Beginner Series and could not be happier! Our instructor Meryl was fantastic, very patient and helpful. I went in completely intimidated by the game and left confident and excited to play on a regular basis! Highly recommend their classes! The staff (including the owners) are super nice and available as well. The studio is very clean and nicely decorated.

If you are looking to learn how to play Mahjong, then the Mahj House is the place for you! Not only do they have adorable merch and offer fun snacks, but they have great teachers! I had Taylor who was honestly so incredibly patient with me, even though I had what felt like a 100 questions. She never rushed me, provided everyone in the room with support, instilled confidence, and made learning the game fun!

Playing mahjong at the Mahj House Austin was such a treat! The moment you walk in the door you feel like you are royalty with snacks, drinks, a Mahjong league card and the most friendly hostesses. The automatic tables were such a fun experience to play on! All the mahjong sets were so cute and it’s so comfortable playing at any of the tables. Every mahjong player should check this place out!

I hosted a Merry Little Mahjong party here for 16 women and we had the most amazing time. The advanced players using the automatic tables which were a huge hit and added such a fun element to the game, and our beginners loved learning with an instructor guiding their play. The space is so cute and the perfect place to host a group. They even provided snacks, still and sparkling water and ice for the bubbly drinks we brought along.

My husband and I did the 4 week Mahjong Lessons w another couple here with instructor Meryl and it was so fun! Meryl was such a great teacher and the whole place is so cute. I'll be back to play again!
